Why do I write?

I’ve thought about this question for some time,

and the answer seems to keep evolving as I do.

But here are some thoughts:

I write to heal;

to work through emotions and my thoughts.

I write as part of my spiritual practice;

a means of opening and attuning to the Now

and engaging in its creative Flow.

I write in hopes of inspiring and empowering other people;

rooting out my own fear,

and giving other permission to do the same.

I write in hopes of teaching;

passing on what I’ve learned.

I write in order to attest to

the Beauty (and I guess pain too)

that I see in the world.

I guess I’ve found that the writing process,

like life,

is the process of becoming more
